Workshop “Letting Beauty Touch You”
Somatic movement and restorative yoga workshop
Saturday 12 December 2026 2.00 - -4.30pm @HOME Wellness
“Everything comes to us that belongs to us if we create the capacity to receive it.”
— Rabindranath Tagore
On winter days we can feel a little stuck or unmotivated.
Sometimes the pathway to receiving and taking in all the goodness, like warmth, kindness, beauty or inspiration, becomes forgotten and closed off, and we miss opportunities to benefit from the many things that are actually good for us. We may then struggle to get going and feel increasingly stressed, tired or uninspired.
In this afternoon workshop, through somatic movement and restorative yoga, we will explore a few gentle practices that can support us to open this pathway and feel more inspired, nourished and rested, physically and spiritually.
We will move gently, following the breath and the fluid nature of our fat (yes, fat! In somatic movement it is seen as a fluid, and it’s wonderful) and fascia, to unfreeze what has become stuck and feel the warmth and strength deep within us.
We will also use imagery to contemplate and evoke the qualities within us that allow us to be touched and inspired by the beauty of this world.
We will finish with deeply restful restorative yoga to enhance our ability to rejuvenate, sustain ourselves and thrive.
Sometimes good things are already knocking at our door, waiting for us to open up, receive them and take them in…
Come and open your capacity to receive and take in what can truly become yours to enjoy.
Daoist Flow Yoga Weekend “Fluid System”
Saturday 23 & Sunday 24 January 2027 12.15 - 5.15pm @ Mission Shoreditch
Join Aki Omori and Jean Hall for a two-day immersive exploring yoga and somatic practices that reconnect us to our innate qualities of support, ease, and embodied wisdom. Rooted in Daoist and yogic philosophy, this immersion invites you to move as part of a greater whole - guided by breath, sensation, inner listening and the connection with the world that surrounds us. In this immersion, we will explore the fluid system - the body's rivers of communication, nourishment, and change. Cellular fluid, blood, lymph, cerebrospinal fluid and synovial fluid, fluidity within fascia and fat, form a single, ever-moving matrix that underlies our capacity for presence and transformation. It sets the ground for how we communicate, within ourselves and with others. Life only exists in the fluid environment within the skin and when we experience stuckness, calling on the fluid system is essential. Each fluid carries its own quality of movement, touch, voice and state of mind. By sensing into the flow and give of these living tissues, we can rediscover the natural rhythm that moves us between rest and activity. As we tune into the currents beneath our shape, held patterns begin to soften, and a deeper ease and adaptability starts to surface - one that can be felt moving through the body and known throughout the whole being. This immersion offers a space to release, resource, and return to a fluidity that is both grounded and buoyant - cultivating adaptability, resilience, and a quiet sense of coming home to our own inner flow and containment.
Daoist Flow Yoga Weekend “Nervous System”
Saturday 20 & Sunday 21 March 2027 12.15 - 5.15pm @ Mission Shoreditch
Join Aki Omori and Jean Hall for a two-day immersive exploring yoga and somatic practices that reconnect us to our innate qualities of support, ease, and embodied wisdom. Rooted in Daoist and yogic philosophy, this immersion invites you to move as part of a greater whole - guided by breath, sensation, inner listening and the connection with the world that surrounds us. In this immersion, we will explore the nervous system - the body's great communicator that records our experiences and governs our expressions - weaving together sensation, movement, emotion, psychology and relationships. Through the autonomic nervous system, we are constantly reading and responding to cues of safety, moving between states of rest, activity and protection long before we have words for what we're feeling. By sensing into the felt experience of these states, rather than simply thinking our way through them, we can begin to recognise our own patterns of activation and shutdown, and rediscover our paths toward the soft strength that comes with genuine regulation. From this ground, safety becomes something felt rather than reasoned toward, unnecessary bracing softens, and connection - to ourselves, to each other, and to the world around us - becomes possible again. This immersion offers a space to release, resource, and return to a steadiness that allows for both rest and aliveness - cultivating regulation, co-regulation, and a quiet sense of coming home to the nervous system's own intelligence through which your mind also can find its peace and joy.
